Suzanne Wilson-Higgins is the Commercial Director for Lightning Source UK where she has worked for 5 years. She brings to the Lightning Source team 20 years experience in marketing and publishing.

Before joining Lightning Source UK in July 2000, Suzanne worked for 5 years as a company director with B.H.Blackwell Limited, the book retailer, international library supplier and subscription services company. While at Blackwell's she was the director responsible for marketing communications, electronic product development and publisher relations.

Suzanne worked for 5 years with the Reed-Elsevier group, leading information provider to worldwide vertical markets. While at Reed-Elsevier, she was a commissioning editor for business books publisher Butterworth-Heinemann, then business development manager at Butterworth-Heinemann, and finally was the director responsible for multimedia across Reed International Books. While at Reed-Elsevier, she gained experience in publishing books, journals, electronic journals and multimedia resources.

Prior to her career in publishing, Suzanne worked for as a Marketing Manager in several non-profit organisations: the Early Music Centre, Scottish Opera, English National Ballet, and the Scottish Business School. She completed an MBA from Strathclyde Business School in Scotland (1986) and a BA in Music History from UCLA in 1982. Suzanne relocated to the UK from California in 1982 and has lived in Oxford with her three daughters for the past 15 years. She enjoys playing the cello and cycling, but not at the same time.
